Dedais a Slow and Sustainability Fashion Brand

With sustainability and education at its core, Dedais is an emerging slow fashion brand, focused in women and kids, that aims to encourage and educate new generations to the development of good environmental and net zero practice.

Dedais brings a different way of shopping by creating made-to-order collections, using organic, natural and recycled fabrics on the clothing range, and natural materials for accessories. The garments are locally made in London by women who are immigrant or from unconventional backgrounds, and they are posted in recyclable and compostable packaging. The brand considers itself as zero-waste and uses all remnants to create smaller pieces, such as collars, headbands or scrunchies.

The bags are created through a traditional looming method in which there is no use of energy and all the materials and tints come from nature.

Dedais encourages diversity and equality. Dedais brand is currently working on some future projects with local charities in west London, where the founder will be delivering workshops for children and young people, where they can learn to upcycle or to create natural non-toxic dyes. There is another open project with kids and women with special needs, where they will be creating some of Dedais future designs.

Dedais is in partnership with More Trees and plants one tree per each purchase, to contribute to reforestation and lower carbon emissions.

We require that our suppliers share our vision of sustainability, accountability and transparency. They also need to meet our standards for social responsibility, fair and safe working environment, manufacturing methods and premium materials.

We use the most eco-friendly couriers to ship our products nationally and internationally.

Our organic products are GOTS and OCS certified, the two most important certifications. We do not own the certifications ourselves, our suppliers do. They are available on request. GOTS is the gold standard for sustainable processing of textiles made from organically grown fibres. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.
